Where Sonevia is going.
What's done and what's being thought about. Only Released is built; nothing under consideration is a promise.
Released 0.9.9
On the App Store from 1 November 2026, for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Sonevia for Mac
A native Mac app; one Pro purchase for every device.
iCloud Sync
Likes, playlists, ratings and history on every device.
Five languages
Japanese, German, French and Spanish join English.
Effects and AutoMix
Your own sound chain, and crossfades on a shared beat.
AirPlay 2, Emby and advanced connections
Multi-room, and servers behind headers, certificates and paths.
Sonevia Pro and the free trial
One purchase, no subscription.
Everything before it
Servers, Apple Music, the EQ, CarPlay, iPad and Apple Watch. See the changelog.
Considering
Being looked at, with no date and no commitment.
AirPlay enhanced buffering
A longer buffer on AirPlay speakers, if dropouts are reported.
Tempo-matched AutoMix
Stretching one song to meet the other's tempo. It would change the sound, so it needs care.
Similar-song discovery
Through AudioMuse-AI on a self-hosted server. Set aside for now.
Wider hardware checks
More USB DACs, Jellyfin and Emby servers, multi-room AirPlay setups, and iCloud Sync across many devices.
Not planned
Decided against for now, and why.
Chromecast
It would need Google's Cast SDK; AirPlay 2 is the focus instead.
Last.fm
ListenBrainz covers scrobbling.
Request apps
Such as Lidarr: outside what a player should do.
Scrolling text in CarPlay
CarPlay draws its own text, so an app can't make it scroll.
