0.9.8TestFlight beta
Steadier, and room for larger text
Improved
Larger text sizes fit: Home, Settings and Now Playing rearrange themselves at the largest sizes, so every name stays readable.
A smoother Equalizer while you drag the curve.
The Pro page lists every Pro feature, in groups.
Apple Watch shows the cover when you open it in the middle of a song.
Fixed
A damaged FLAC or WAV file could close or freeze the app.
An unusual star rating from a server could close the app.
A music folder inside Sonevia's own folder could go missing after an update.
The format badge now follows the app's language.
On the Mac, Home's quick picks click again, pages scroll clear of the playback bar, and each page shows its title.
0.9.5TestFlight beta
Mac, iCloud and five languages
Added
Sonevia for Mac: a native app for Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 26, with a sidebar, a playback bar, the media keys and Control Center. Add music folders from the sidebar's Folders page.
iCloud Sync: playlists made in Sonevia, likes, ratings, plays, resume points, EQ profiles, effects and settings stay the same on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Server sign-ins and your ListenBrainz token follow through iCloud Keychain. Your music files are never uploaded.
Five languages: Japanese, German, French and Spanish join English, in the app, widgets, Siri phrases and on Apple Watch. Pick one on the first screen or in Settings › Language.
Effects and your own sound chain: reverb, echo, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, auto-wah, distortion, a compressor, headphone crossfeed, filters, EQ, gain, bit crusher, tremolo, ring modulator and stereo width, up to ten in a row, with eight presets. Changes glide in without a click, and with effects off the sound is untouched.
Effects for one song: give a song its own chain, which takes over while it plays.
AutoMix: when two songs share a tempo, the crossfade starts on a beat they share.
Emby servers.
More ways to connect: custom headers (such as Cloudflare Access), client certificates, self-signed certificates and servers behind a path.
Artist mixes: an artist and the artists close to them, using Plex's sonic analysis when your server has it.
Liked albums.
Ignore a song and it's skipped everywhere; switch a folder or server library off without removing it.
Share an album as a picture.
Two more app icons: Aurora and Paper.
Improved
AirPlay 2: HomePod and several rooms at once, with lyrics and the time in step with what you hear over AirPlay and Bluetooth.
Sort names everywhere: "The Beatles" sorts under B, and sort names from your files and servers are used.
Artist pages show EPs, singles, compilations and live releases.
Lyrics timing goes past ten seconds either way.
Cover style: a full-width header or a square cover, for albums and playlists separately.
iPad: a readable width, a cleaner tab bar, a Go menu and pointer effects.
A new server sign-in.
Changed
Playlists have their own tab, and Settings is the gear at the top.
Fixed
The server screen's text jumped as it opened.
A second tap on the Search tab now puts the cursor in the field.
0.8.0TestFlight beta
Sonevia Pro
Added
Sonevia Pro: a one-time Lifetime purchase and a free seven-day trial, both through the App Store. Everything else stays Free.
Search forgives a slip: when nothing matches exactly, the closest songs appear, even with a word one letter off or a word missing.
Sonevia's own folder in Files, and in Finder on a Mac, for music that lives only on your device.
Changed
iPad and Mac say "this device" where they used to say "iPhone".
The quality line beside the cover in CarPlay is a plain label.
